The expense of therapy is certainly a real one, but it is almost always worth it. I urge you not to let finances interfere with you getting the help you need. Financial resources should not be an obstacle to receiving therapy. I do have a limited number of sliding scale spaces available. Feel free to call me to discuss fees and insurance related to your treatment.
How Much Does Therapy Cost?
My fee is currently $200 per 50-minute hour. I accept cash, check, and all major credit cards (processed via Square and Stripe). I typically meet with clients once a week, although this can vary based on the specific needs of the client.
How Do You Handle Fees and Insurance?
My practice works with a number of different insurance providers. I accept claims from the State of California Victim Compensation Program (CalVCP) and participate in the LYRA Employee Assistance Program.
I am an in-network provider with:
- Cigna Behavioral Health
- United Behavioral Health (United, Optum, US Behavioral Health).
If I am not a network provider for your plan, but you have a Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) plan and are interested in using your insurance, I can provide a “superbill,” a statement that you can submit to your insurance company at the end of each month to receive reimbursement.
